Subject: ~After my freshman year in college...

After my freshman year in college, I moved to Phoenix. Preparing for
my sophomore year, I needed to make money and improve my wrestling.
My athletic scholarship depended on it.

Phoenix is the worst place to be in the summer. More so when all you can
afford is an apartment with a swamp cooler - in a neighborhood littered with bums,
crime and alcoholism. Everything was a challenge. But, rent was cheap and
I found wrestling and work.

I sold credit cards as a telemarketer. On the weekends, I worked
for Atlas Van Lines packing and moving people out of their homes in 115
degree heat. I trained at night.

After 4 weeks, I was the top sales guy.

(It was a sleazy job. All debt is bad debt. And since that summer, I
swore it off. And for more than 20 years, I’ve never made an exception and
have lived debt-free.)

Despite selling more credit cards than the other 99 people on the sales
floor, I got fired. I broke script. And everyone hated it.

As a telemarketer, every call is scripted. But fuck that. I’ve never
been able to follow a script. Plus, my “script” was always better. It
was real. It was authentic and I honestly helped people get lower rates
compared to the competitors.

My boss got annoyed with my negative attitude toward his neatly-written,
plastic sales pitch. My co-workers were envious but wouldn't dare speak
freely or relate to others like a fucking human being should…they
practically begged to act like robots and spent 10 hours a day repeating the
same limp sales pitch...always failing.

(The last thing the world needs is another fraudulent sales pitch.)

But, that’s how most people are today - actors following a lame script.

Doctors follow orders from Big Pharma. Patients follow orders from
doctors. And the circus continues.

The best example is blood pressure meds. Turn 40 years old and you can bet
your ass, most people are following the script and dutifully taking blood
pressure meds.

And that’s sad because in the two decades of being a chemist, author,
pilot and father, I’ve watched my peers go to total shit because of “the script”
that reads blood pressure meds are perfectly healthy and anything below
140/80 is a good thing...

…They gain weight. They lose energy and libido. Some even lose their
marriage. Some lose their pilot’s license. And most lose their gym
membership.

After being fired, it was Atlas Van Lines full time, until school started.
I’ve never been so fucking hot since…and to this day, I call Atlas to
move my shit. (They were an awesome company to work for and are
still the best in the industry!...But fuck credit cards.)

Ditch the meds,

The People's Chemist

P.S. The Journal of Ethnopharmacology just released a paper on hawthorn.
Researcher concluded that hawthorn extracts, “decrease the inflammatory
cytokine responses, and protect the endothelium.” In laymen terms, it
means that hawthorn opens up your cardiovascular system for better blood
flow and decreases damage to the arteries! Get it at www.getcardiofx.com
