Nice meeting you at the health fair. Thanks
if you were one of the many people who shared their concerns and challenges
around healthy meal making. Please be assured
that you're not alone in the obstacles you face--not by a long shot! What's more, the KitchenSmart Solutions(R) we share offer a pathway around almost every one of those barriers.
As
promised, I've added you to my email list so you can begin journeying to find
the solutions that work for you.
I wish I could give
you the single "Golden Tip" to "easily solve all your
problems in 5 minutes," but I won't lie to you! Awaiting you is a journey of discovery--but happily it is a delicious journey, and
with every step you'll see real progress and get the motivation to
continue.
I hope my emails
inspire you to start and stick to this journey.
Be on the lookout for them. The "From" line will look like
this:
"Mary Collette,
mcr@CookHappyLiveHealthy.org"
One of the first
emails you'll be getting includes the free gift I showed you at the fair,
"5 Ways to Take the Boring Out of Broccoli."
You'll also receive information about "Meal Making Transformation." Interestingly,
almost everyone who signed up at the fair indicated an interest in this concept, which is great! Transforming the way you make meals is
how you can get around the challenges that keep you from making those
healthful meals you'd love to be eating.
That's why the first
emails you'll receive explain what Meal Making Transformation means, who it's good for and how we can help you
make the kind of transformation you'd like to see in your food life.
So you don't miss
anything, can I suggest you please whitelist my email?
Where to Buy Good
Produce
Several attendees asked about where
to buy good produce. Great
question, since you'll be happy to eat more healthy vegetables if they taste
good, right?
CSAs From my experience,
the best-tasting vegetables are those that come from local growers, especially
those who farm organically and sustainably.
If you're thinking, "Way too expensive," you should know about
CSAs. "CSA" stands for
Community Supported Agriculture, a sort of buying club. Each spring you buy a "share" in
the farm and then all summer and fall you get a "share" of the farm's
produce.
It ends up being a
very economical way to get great, health-giving produce--and the way I get most
of my produce. In fact, for 9 months of
the year, I barely buy any produce at the grocery store!
Winter CSA--Start
Even Sooner Monroe Organic Farms (my
CSA) is one of the few farms that offers a winter CSA. This is the greatest farm with wonderful
growers who drive about 400 miles each week to distribute their organic,
amazing produce all over the Denver metro area.
Welcome again to our good eating community where you'll be the first to know about our classes as well as free webinars, educational articles, recipes and more. Please feel free to email with any questions or comments you have.
