Howdy 👋 !
There are a lot of new faces around here so I wanted to say hello and re-introduce myself to the crew.
My name is Destiny Lalane and I made $125,000 in my first year as a recruiter by leveraging AI from day one.
This newsletter shares how I'm using AI to recruit in 2023.
At first, when I started this newsletter, I expected it to be full of new and upcoming recruiters. I'm humbled to say that 99% of this email list is made of recruiters with more experience than I have who are curious about leveling up their skills with ChatGPT.
So I wanted to take a moment to say thank you, not just for trusting me enough to sign up, but for your continuous dedication to the craft of recruitment. The world needs more recruiters like yourself!
Now let's get into it.
There are so many unique ways you can use ChatGPT as a recruiter whether you're a sourcer, an agency owner, or doing the full desk song and dance.
Here are three ways you may not have considered using ChatGPT as a recruiter:
Candidate Briefs: You can use ChatGPT to create detailed briefs for your hiring managers. These briefs help them understand why the candidate you're recommending is qualified and worth interviewing. Once you understand what your hiring manager truly values, you can ensure you're consistently sharing the relevant information, rather than what you alone find impressive about the candidate. This method can save you time usually spent selling candidates to hiring managers via Zoom. I've had significant success with this approach, and it's proven an enormous time saver when recruiting for new industries and skill sets.
Curating Lists of Industry Data and Jargon: Identifying industry keywords, memberships, and companies is an excellent way to refine your searches and Boolean searches. Most people don't capitalize on this because it's tedious. I use ChatGPT to extract that information and store it for future reuse when searching for candidates. ChatGPT takes care of it, so I don't even have to think about it. You'll never identify the industry, niche, and company size as efficiently as AI can. It's time to start harnessing this potential.
Formatting Data for CSV Uploads: The preliminary work for recruiting can be exhausting. If you're tired of manually formatting data for mass CSV uploads, let ChatGPT handle it. Regardless of the ATS or sourcing tool you're using, ChatGPT can do the grunt work, allowing you to focus on what matters most - the candidate, not the formatting of a CSV.
Let me know if you have questions on anything I mentioned or other ways I'm using this technology.
