This Virtual Daime work will use the virtual meeting platform Zoom. If you’ve used Zoom, you’ll know what to do. If you haven’t, this is your opportunity to use a format that is quickly becoming the new norm for many of us. You will need a computer with a camera and a microphone or you can use a cell phone. We suggest you go to zoom.com well before the meeting and set up a free account. You’ll be able to test your microphone and camera then.
To join the meeting, you will click on the invitation link we will send you 1-2 days before the work. If you don’t set up a zoom account, you can still join the meeting by clicking on the link, but you’ll need to download some software before you can join the call. Let us know if you need help with zoom.
We are making Daime available to: Fardados/Fardadas who tithe to CHLQ Firmados who tithe to CHLQ who live in a shared household with Fardados Fardados who regularly attend CHLQ works.
On the day of the work we suggest you select and prepare a comfortable place in your home to be during the work. We will all being wearing white clothes. You can set up your own alter with a candle, Cruzeiro, and flowers. Using your computer or phone, click the link to join the meeting you received from us by email and follow the instructions.
The work is scheduled for Friday April 3rd with the zoom call open at 6:30pm and the work starting at 7:00pm. This will allow everyone some time to work out any technical details of the zoom call before we start. The work will include a welcome greeting followed by the opening prayers and the opening of the work. We will drink our Daime and then say the Rosary of Mary together. After the rosary, we will close the zoom call. Everyone will continue their work with a period of concentration with the option of singing all or a portion of Mestre’s Cruzeirinho on your own. We’d like to all close at the same time, so the closing time will be set before we end the zoom call.
