The Self Transformation Project

Dear Ones,

We have changed the dates of the weekends for the renewal of the Self Transformation Works.

We’ve moved them from September 23-25 and September 30-October 2 to the first two weekends in November, 4-6 and 11-13. We made that decision based on the very bad air quality here in Ashland, and the uncertainty as to when the fire season will abate. We have been surrounded by fires and sometimes it has been raining ash.

The other complication is that Jackson County, where the workshops will be held, is presently one of the pandemic centers in the United States. We did not believe that the original dates would be possible given those two variables. The good news on the fire front is that the fire season is predicted to be over in October.

After much investigation, consideration from many angles, and discussion among us, we have reached the conclusion that, for these workshops, we ask that everyone be vaccinated to attend.

We have been examining this question for weeks, making our study from as many angles as we can. Our first priority is that everyone be and feel safe and be maximally available to the teachings and insights that the Santo Daime brings to us. In our discussions and studies of how to best secure the space during a time of so much upheaval and uncertainty, this is what we have decided. Whatever your position on the vaccines, it is undeniable that an unvaccinated person is both more vulnerable to catching the virus and more apt to spread it. Given the physical intimacy of the work we are involved in, we all agreed that in the interest of everyone’s health, vaccines would be required for this time.

In addition, everyone, crew and participants, will be required to take an instant Covid test the morning of the their first STW.

Our crew is looking forward to once again being together in the sacred and illuminating space of the Santo Daime in the form of the

Self Transformation Works.

Details:

$695 for 3 days, includes snacks after the works, and simple, delicious, organic dinner made by Jane and Zara.

The retreat is for the three days. We’ll sign folks up for one retreat, and if there are open spaces in another workshop, we can notify those who have expressed interest that there are openings available.

$125 deposit – refundable before September 23, nonrefundable after.

After 20 years of offering these works, we are still learning and refining them.They have always been deep and powerful, and we want the days to reflect that reality and to give us all a time to go as deep and as concentrated as we can go. We have an agreement that during the entire weekend the only altering substance we will use will be the Santo Daime as taken in the ceremonies. Included in this agreement are cannabis, rapé, and alcohol. If you are taking prescription medications, we ask that you check with us as to whether adjustments to that regimen might be necessary.

All fees need to be paid by October 7.

Shape of the day:

Arrive early enough to register, arrange your space, meet folks you don’t know, greet those you do know. The first day will have an introduction at 10:30 so all of us need to come with enough time to be ready for that.

The work will last until around 5:00. After we close there will be a time of meditation, journaling, drawing to give us all a time to center ourselves and be ready for the sharing. Sharing will be an hour and then we will have dinner. There will be light snacks to tide us over between the end of the work and dinner.
