In honoring our commitment to safety on all levels, we have changed the dates for the up-coming Self Transformation Workshops

We are moving the dates of the upcoming Self Transformation Works and celebration of the healing and teachings of José Alberto Rosa and Baixinha. 


They will now be held on March 3-5 and March 10-12.


We know that this change will be problematic for some of you. For that we apologize. We hope that you can be adaptable-as we are learning to be- and still come to join us in what will be a powerful, beautiful time of multi-leveled healing and learning, free from preoccupation. 


For us, a part of that learning is to balance grounded evaluation of material reality with spiritual guidance and the call to come together in communion. In following our commitment to do everything we can to make the space of the works as safe on all levels as possible, we’ve concluded that it is best to delay. This will allow for more time for the wave of illness traveling through our communities to substantially subside, as evidence indicates it will do over the next few weeks.

All participants and staff need to be vaccinated to attend the Self Transformation works. All participants as well as staff will also be asked to present proof of a negative covid test before the first day of ceremonies.

After 20 years of offering these works, we are still learning and refining them.They have always been deep and powerful, and we want the days to reflect that reality and to give us all a time to go as deep and as concentrated as we can go. We have an agreement that during the entire weekend the only altering substance we will use will be the Santo Daime as taken in the ceremonies. Included in this agreement are cannabis, rapé, and alcohol. If you are taking prescription medications, we ask that you check with us as to whether adjustments to that regimen might be necessary.

Email Jane at selftransformation9@gmail.com . Let us know which retreat you are interested in, send your deposit by specified date, and you are then officially registered. Jane is available to discuss payment plans.

Shape of the day:

It is best for you to take your Covid test before arriving for the first day. If you don’t have access, a rapid test can be provided, but we request that you do everything you can to have your own tests. Everyone needs to arrive early enough to calmly register, arrange your space, meet folks you don’t know, greet those you do know. The first day will involve an introduction in the morning before starting the ceremony, time to be announced.


The work will last until around 5:00. After we close there will be a time of meditation, journaling, drawing to give us all a time to center ourselves and be ready for the sharing. Sharing will be for an hour and then we will have dinner. There will be light snacks to tide us over between the end of the work and dinner.
