Dear Ones,
We have reassessed our safety protocols based on the latest scientific information. We have decided that in doing our works in the forest as we have for the last 18 months and in the manner we have done, emphasizing the mutual caring for each other and the grounded, cautious, self responsibility of each participant, testing is not necessary at this time. One result of this decision is that the work in celebration of the anniversary of the church will also be held in the forest.
To take care of each other and our church, we each need to be aware and truthful about where we have been, what exposure we may have had to the ongoing virus, and the state of our own health. If you have any suspicion that you are potentially carrying the virus, whether you are vaccinated or not, please take care of your brothers, sisters, and dear ones by not coming to the work.
We have so far successfully walked a middle path in these months; grounded in science, honoring of individual rights, letting grounded faith, not fear, guide our decisions, being both firm and flexible in maintaining our program of spiritual works. It is up to all of us to maintain the union of the heart that is the basis of our protection.
Sincerely, The CHLQ Board
