To our CHLQ and extended community,

I understand that there is some speculation out there about my dad’s health. I want to begin this by saying that he is ok.

Now, for the details: On Tuesday, Jonathan experienced a moderate heart attack. A crew of us, including two doctors, took him directly to a private hospital in Nova Friburgo, where he was admitted to the ICU.

After tests and discussion, it was clear that he needed heart catheterization (NOT open heart surgery) to repair the problem. The excellent cardiac team at São Lucas hospital took amazing care of him and he is spending one final night in the ICU for observation; he will be back at Morgenlicht with us in the late morning tomorrow (Saturday).

When we talked to him, he sounded great and said he feels better than he has in a long time. He told us that he could feel the divine beings around him, could feel the love and prayers from everyone, and that he felt totally held and protected. He will make a full recovery.
