Two Special Works with Marcelo Bernardes We will sing Hinario da Fe on November 15th, followed by a Gira on November the 17th. These are a rare opportunity to work with Marcelo Bernardes, who will be in attendance at both works. The Gira is a ceremony of mediumistic healing and development in the Umbanda tradition of Brazil. It is a community ritual done for the purpose of healing, charity, praising The Orixas, God, and the healing Guides that attend those great ones and to create a space for receiving and working with the Guides of that tradition.
In the Gira of Caboclo Tupinamba that Baixinha and Marcelo opened and that has been going continuously for forty years, Santo Daime is served. It is served with less frequency and in lesser amounts throughout the day, as the purpose is not to be fully in the power of the Daime and entering a healing passage. The purpose is to consecrate the Santo Daime, feel its vibration, and allow it to help us open ourselves and our mediumistic facilities to the healing and development that is available in the Gira. Drinking Daime in the Gira is optional and is not a requirement of participating.
