Support Our Mission in Brasil
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
CHLQ has a long history of excellent working relationships with our Brazilian partners. These relationships are based on mutual benefit, respect, and trust and require personal attention to grow and thrive.
We have all been blessed through the years with incredible Daime and the knowledge and wisdom gained by Jane and Jonathan from their time spent in Brasil. We’ve been able to help with countless projects in various Daime communities all over Brasil.
With little travel possible the last couple of years, Jonathan has determined that now is the time to go to Brasil and visit some of our partners and continue to foster these relationships. He will also have the opportunity to return with a lot of Daime for our works.
Thus, we are raising money to offset the considerable costs of traveling to and within Brasil to support the mission. Trips like this lay the groundwork for our future Daime security and are critical for the long term sustainability of the Church.
Please send Jonathan lots of light, love and prayers as he travels on our behalf from August 3-19.
Please also make a monetary contribution as you are able to support this trip and the mission of CHLQ.
Examples of just a few of the many projects through the years that your donations, and Jane and Jonathan’s efforts, have made possible include:
Flor Da Montanha in Lumiar: prior to our help, the people in Lumiar were making Daime in old aluminum pots. We were able to give them massive, 100L stainless steel pots for safe Daime production, pots that may be in use for generations.
Céú da Montanha Visconde de Mauá: in fulfillment of our promise to Jose Rosa, who led this community and said ‘take care of my people’, we have done self-sustainability agrictultural projects for the people of Maua every year, helping them to both grow their own food, and to cultivate Daime.
Céu do Mapiá: This is where many who made the journey with Pd. Sebastiao to establish Céu do Mapiá deep in the Amazon jungle - the companheiros of Pd. Sebastião and Md. Rita - still live today. All of them are now elders and we have been supporting them in various ways. Thanks to donations through the years to CHLQ, we have also been able to help maintain Santa Casa (‘holy house’), which provides local health care right there for those who need it.
These partnerships respect and honor those who sustain the Daime in its homeland. They also maintain the relationships which are the main reason we have the gift of the Daime.

Your support for this trip is what continues to make the CHLQ mission possible today, more than 25 years after its founding. Blessings to you always.
