"The Confession is done during the dances of the day of the Kings, the Feast of Saint John and the Day of Our Lady of Conception. The ceremony of confession is related to the hinário of Mestre Irineu. Specifically it refers to hymn number 17, titled "Hymn of the Confession" If the Cruzeiro is sung outside the dates mentioned above, this hymn is suppressed unless there is an express decision by the leader, if he needs to settle disharmonies among the brotherhood. At the singing of the hymn of confession, all those present in uniform or not hold a lit candle. It is considered that the hymn itself, on being sung, realizes the confession."
