Add Some Flair to Your Homemade Wine

How to apply the wax to your bottles: Place the wax beads in a small pot or clean tin/aluminum can. This pot or can is then placed into boiling water to create a "double boiler". As the wax heats in the double boiler, stir occasionally. It will take 10-15 minutes to melt the wax into a smooth consistency. Maintain wax at 180-190° F. Monitor the temperature of the wax and stir often. Beware that the wax is flammable. If needed, use fire extinguisher, not water, to put out a flame. To apply wax to the neck of the bottle, simply dip it into the wax for 10-15 seconds. It will dry rather quickly once removed. When you are finished, cover the pot/can with tin foil and save it for the next batch.
