Aromas of citrus, pine, grass & earth and herbs. | | Simcoe is a hop variety that quickly found its way into the hearts of bitter-loving craft brewers. Intense pine aroma adds to the fresh, youthful vigor. Dual purpose for use as a bittering hop or powerful aromatic hop.

Aromas of herbs, pine and grass & earth. | | Northern Brewer is bred from Golding, grown both in Europe and North America. It found it's way to San Francisco as a signature flavor of Anchor Steam beer. It is a well-adapted hop with neutral, clean earthy and piney aromas and slightly higher than average bittering value. Dual purpose.

Aromas of flowers, herbs and spices. | | Tettnang is one of the traditional "noble hops" from Germany, along with Hallertau, Saaz, and Spalt. It is named for a town in the far south of Germany where it is grown. It has a subtle bittering flavor, and aromas that include a mix of floral, fruity, herbal and spicy – fresh herbs, grass, dried flowers, citrus peel, black tea. It is ideally suited for use in Pilsner-style lagers, and similar beers. It is also used well in German Wheat beers and Belgian Ales.

Aromas of herbs, spices and citrus. | | Magnum is a German variety prized for its high bittering value combined with low cohumulone content, making it one of the go-to "clean bittering" hops for high IBU beers. It has an aroma that displays both spice and citrus. It fits into many craft brewer's bigger beers like Sierra Nevada's Pale Ale and Torpedo IPA. It is well suited for any high IBU beer where the brewer wishes to avoid a harsh, edgy and astringent finish. |
