Aromas of citrus and tropical fruit. | | With aromas of mango, papaya, and pineapple, Citra has become one of the most used and desired hops in the craft beer industry. You may know it from beers such as Sierra Nevada's Torpedo IPA, Henhouse's Stoked! on Citra, Three Floyds Zombie Dust, Knee Deep Simtra, or hundreds of other hoppy beers on the market today.

Aromas of citrus and flowers. | | Cascade is the prototypical American hop and has aromas of flowers, citrus and spice with grapefruit being the most noticeable fragrance. This medium aroma balances the lower bittering value. A very popular hop among craft brewers.
Aromas of citrus, flowers and spices. | | Centennial has the aromas of flowers and citrus, especially grapefruit. This is one of the American classic three C's, along with Cascade and Columbus (CTZ). Centennial is often known as super Cascade. It can be found in some of the most famous beers in the country such as Pliny the Elder and Bell's Two Hearted Ale.

Aromas of tropical fruit, pine, citrus and stone fruit. | | Mosaic was released commercially in 2012 and bred from Simcoe and Nugget. Often called the daughter of Simcoe, Mosaic has strong citrus, pine, stone fruit, and even tropical character. A newer hop variety with great pineapple aromas.

Aromas of pine, citrus, herbs and spices. | | Chinook has been with us since the early days of the craft beer movement in the US. Released in 1985 through the USDA breeding program, Chinook remains an essential hop in the industry, beloved for its strong, mountain pine aroma. While we do not recommend it as a bittering hop due to the potential for astringency, this is a go-to hop for pine-y freshness along with citrus elements of grapefruit and other aromas reminiscent of herbs and spices.
Aromas of citrus, pine, herbs and spices. | | Warrior has a high bittering potential and low astringency from cohumulone content. It is known for wonderful resinous aromas of citrus, pineapple, and pine that offer new dimensions to IPA and Double IPA brewers. Warrior was developed by Yakima Chief Ranches and arose from the same program that gave us Simcoe.

Aromas of pine, citrus and earth & grass. | | Grown in New Zealand, Dr. Rudi was called Super Alpha upon its release by HortResearch in 1976. In 2012 this variety was renamed Dr. Rudi in honor of the “father of New Zealand hops.” It is high in cohumulone content, therefore we do not recommend using it for bittering. It's aromatic potential is very unique and was selected in blind smelling by many of our customers for release at our shop. The pine character is resinous and similar to pine sap and lemongrass, while the citrus element can be similar to lime pith. High rates of dry hop use may result in intensely resinous hop flavors, so you may consider blending with other hops if you do not want high pine intensity.

Aromas of flowers, grass & earth, citrus and spices. | | Bred in 1983 by the USDA, Crystal is a cross between classic German and English strains. Crystal is popular for its versatility in a broad range of styles. It has been famously used in beers by Sierra Nevada Brewing Co such as their Pale Ale and Torpedo.
