I am reaching out to you today to ask you to join or renew your membership and support of the Tennessee Firearms Association. It is urgent that we continue to build our strength particularly if the 2020 elections result in increased risks to the rights protected by the 2nd Amendment at the local, state and federal levels!
Already we are seeing bills filed in Tennessee for 2021. Rep. Bruce Griffey has already filed a bill for constitutional carry - true constitutional carry not the watered down "defense" that Bill Lee proposed last year. Rep. Jay Reedy has already filed a bill to allow crime victims to property their homes and property, including business inventories, from rioters, looters, and mobs. We expect more bills in Tennessee on issues like use of deadly force, self-defense, civil immunity, and other important issues.
Tennesseans must get engaged and be prepared to fight for our rights. We can't sit back and assume some century old national organization will do it - particularly when that organization's sole part time lobbyist in Tennessee was until recently on Bill Lee's staff. We need advocates and activists who put a priority on the rights of Tennesseans - not political friendships and paychecks.
Your prior and continued support and donations to the Tennessee Firearms Association have been one of the things that has allowed TFA to develop the capacity and expertise to increasingly represent our interests in state and federal litigation that might someday do what the Legislature has refused to do -- remove the infringements that the 2n Amendment prohibits.
It is time to join or enew your membership in the Tennessee Firearms Association. For your convenience you can go on line at the membership page (even for renewals) and pay with a credit card or an e-check now!
Please make it a continuing automatic renewal. (Note: Some of you set up for automatic annual renewals and if so that payment will auto-process on the date you previously established). If your expiration date is prior to the date of this email, you likely do not have automatic renewals enabled on your last payment.
Please, even if you have already joined or renewed, consider a supplemental member donation by chipping in the cost of a box of your favorite ammo each month to help the fight for the protection of our rights!
