(Nashville, TN) The
Tennessee Firearms Association Legislative Action Committee
(TFALAC) has announced that Donald J. Trump, Jr., a nationally
recognized Second Amendment advocate, will be the keynote speaker at its
annual convention on Saturday, September 9, 2023, at the Farm Bureau
Expo Center in Lebanon, Tennessee.
The TFALAC 2023 Annual Event is part of an extremely important
initiative known as “Red Flag Down” which is a media campaign built to
defeat the Red Flag Law that Governor Lee is trying to force upon the
people of Tennessee. He is attempting to enact his gun control agenda by
calling a Legislative Special Session, as well as possible gun control
packages in 2024.
The “
Red Flag Down” campaign incorporates
recent polling
which reveals that 84% of Tennessee voters believe that separating
dangerous people from potential victims by removing them from the
community – not separating individuals from firearms– is the best way to
keep a community safe and save lives. Tennessee Firearms Association
and TFALAC have already committed to expend at least $100,000 to the Red
Flag Down campaign in 2023 to protect the rights of Tennesseans from
proposals that violate the Second Amendment.
The TFALAC Annual Event is the organization’s main annual fundraiser.
Proceeds are used in the state to defeat gun control proposals, support
Second Amendment candidates for the State
Legislature and to support pro-Second Amendment legislation. This
year’s annual event is already showing substantial public support in
part due to significant public opposition Governor Lee and some
legislators who are trying to enact a “Red Flag” law and other gun
control following the Covenant School murders.
