There is no question that Tennessee has some principled Legislators who are already standing firm to stop Governor Bill Lee and President Joe Biden as they attempt to enact a Red Flag law in Tennessee or to impose other gun control measures with Executive Orders.

Bill Lee is now anticipated to call the Legislature back for an expensive "special session" to try and pressure them, perhaps with threats of withholding economic benefits to their districts, unless they enact his Red Flag law.

Tennessee's Legislators need our support but we need to make sure we are supporting those who support us.  We also need to identify those who are potentially supporting Bill Lee's gun control agenda and thus refuse to sign the pledge.

One way to do that is for every one of you to reach out now - today, this weekend, as soon as possible and insist that they sign the TFA's 2023 No Red Flag pledge.   It is critical that these be presented to the Legislators face to face and that you get their signature and that you return this pledge to TFA before the special session starts.

It is critical to contact Legislators and let them know that you refuse to let your constitutional rights be subjected to the demands of a Governor that is ignoring the constitutional prohibitions that keep government from infringing on your rights under the Second Amendment.
