Project Appleseed not-for-profit effort by the Revolutionary War Veterans Association that offers a firearms training course which includes historical training on the events of Lexington and Concord where armed colonists took up arms against their own government in the path that led to the American Revolution and the recognition of the original 13 sovereign states. Many TFA members have taken this course and it is still one that should be considered by shooters of all ages (well, those at least 8 years old and up).
TFA is pleased to share the Project Appleseed announcement of its 2023 events.
Project
Appleseed’s Schedule of Events
With
spring approaching, Project Appleseed in Tennessee is preparing for the
upcoming year.
For
those who have not heard of us, Project Appleseed is a 501(c)(3) non-profit
organization dedicated to preserving the American heritage of liberty and rifle
marksmanship. By sharing the events of the birth of our nation on April 19,
1775, we strive to connect Americans with their heritage.
The
events of April 19, 1775 are the founding moments of America. The colonists’
love of liberty, their superior marksmanship, their courage, and their
sacrifices are what gave us this nation. Thomas Paine once wrote: “What we
obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly.” Americans today have forgotten the
sacrifices that were made, and Project Appleseed seeks to connect Americans
with this history and ignite in them the drive to get involved and save the
sinking ship.
At
Project Appleseed, you will hear the stories of April 19, 1775 –history that is
no longer taught in most schools. In addition to that, you will learn the fundamental
principles of rifle marksmanship. Though our clinics mostly take place at 25 meters,
these fundamentals will allow you to pick up any rifle and make consistent,
unsupported shots out to 500 yards at our Known Distance and Rimfire Known
Distance events. We have also officially launched our pistol program, so if you
are looking for additional instruction with your pistol, look no further!
Our
events are open to all ages and skills levels. Whether you are 8 or 80, a
beginner, or a seasoned marksman, there is something for everyone on our lines.
Our
2023 schedule is available at appleseedinfo.org, so come out and join us! If you
have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach us at TN@appleseedinfo.org, or you can follow/like us on
Facebook at @Tennesse.Project.Appleseed!
Tennessee’s
Project Appleseed heartily thanks the Tennessee Firearms Association for
supporting our program.
