The 2021 Lobby Day that was being jointly planned by TFA and Gun Owners of America has been cancelled according to information from the Legislature.
Tennessee Firearms Association has had a 2021 Lobby Day in the
planning for almost a year. We had been planning with Gun Owners of America to have on a massive day at
the Legislature on March 9, 2021. Based on continued restrictions in
Nashville regarding Covid and limits imposed by the General Assembly
regarding “lobby days” or “hill days”, our original plans for an
in-person 2021 lobby day on March 9 are canceled.
But that certainly does not stop us from supporting legislation that protects gun owners statewide!
We are currently evaluating options to provide our members and
supporters opportunities to engage with their representatives through
alternative measures. This may include virtual meetings with committee
members or your elected officials.
In order to help us plan and
prepare, please complete sign up for the
Lobby Day email list so we plan and send updates by region, zip code, and/or district.
TFA is also making plans to take the campaign to the airwaves this
year if they are going to block us from going to “the Peoples’ House”!
Our ads will be running on a variety of radio stations around the state.
Since many of you won’t have to make the trip to Nashville to preserve
your Second Amendment rights, please consider making a supplemental
member contribution or
PAC donation
to our ad campaign. These ads will reach beyond our membership and help
grow support of legislation that will achieve our goals such as
Constitutional Carry,
ending gun-free zones,
lowering the concealed carry age to 18, and
protecting Tennessean’s from tyrannical federal laws that the Biden/Harris administration is currently promising to pass in 2021!
