Attached are the weekly reports from the Tennessee Firearms Association for activity on bills during the past week as well as calendars for bills that are presently scheduled to be heard over the next two weeks.
In general, bills that expand your capacity to carry without a permit and/or bills that materially reduce the number of gun free zones are being killed in Speaker Beth Harwell's subcommittees. Remember that and the legislators who are voting against your rights during this election season.
Equally important, reach our to your own legislators and ask them what they are doing to insist that these bills move forward out of committee and be debated and considered on the floor of each house. There is a serious problem with Beth Harwell's committee system when legislation impacting a constitutionally protected right is derailed in a subcommittee by just a few legislators rather than put on the floor for consideration and debate by all elected officials. The problem? Disenfranchisement - and its Harwell's legacy.

P.S. If
you want to join in the battle to elect someone to the State Senate and the State House in 2018 - candidates who put the
constitution first and who are true public stewards of your rights - please take a moment and go to the TFA's PAC website and make a donation so that we can raise the funds to restore our rights.
P.S.S. - Tennessee Firearms Association LAC has scheduled its annual meeting for Saturday, September 22, 2018. Please consider purchasing your tickets now so that we can better plan for the event. Also, if you would like to advertise or be a sponsor of this event, let's talk!
