For two weeks now Governor Bill Lee has shown his open hostility to the rights of individuals that are protected by the Second Amendment. Like a tyrant, he ignores the plain language of the Second Amendment, he ignores the clear threshold requirements established by the United States Supreme Court in
Bruen and he continues to demand that the Tennessee Legislature enact a Red Flag law.
Now, he is threatening to call the Legislature back into a special session to work on his Red Flag demands. Some sources indicate that Governor Lee plans to call the Legislature back as early as mid-May to try and "woodshed" them into doing what he and the Democrats want done. A special session, in and of itself, is not only wrong but it will cost taxpayers a substantial amount to fund a special session. What's more, the only people who are celebrating are Democrats like Justin Jones, Justin Pearson and Gloria Johnson and perhaps a few Republicans like Bill Lee, Randy McNally and Jeremy Faison.

This is a major potential constitutional crisis involving a bad idea and one that is the very cancer of incrementalism. It is no surprise that it comes from Bill Lee.
It is critical to contact Legislators and let them know that you refuse to let your constitutional rights be subjected to the demands of a Governor that is ignoring the constitutional prohibitions that keep government from infringing on your rights under the Second Amendment.
