Tennessee Firearms Association is busy on a number of projects which some of you are asking about but which are not ready at this point.
First, what laws passed this year? At this point, we are 98% sure of what did and did not pass. We will do a year end report in late May or June on that topic. The delay, at this point, is that the timeline has not fully expired for the governor to sign or veto bills. We will get out the annual report soon and post a copy on the TFA's website as well.
Second, who is TFA supporting in the elections for governor and legislative offices? TFA has for several election cycles surveyed the candidates. This year there are about 400 of them in the races for governor or the state legislature. We have sent out the TFA candidate surveys and the deadline for those to be returned is May 18. We have received some but expect the bulk of them next week. Once those are reviewed by the Board, TFA is post on its website a report that will include a blank copy of the survey and a spreadsheet grid showing who responded and how they responded to each multiple choice question. However, TFA will also pay particular attention to incumbents or others who survey responses do not matching the conduct or voting records and will share those concerns in addition to the survey responses.
Third, the Tennessee Firearms Association Legislative Action Committee has scheduled the annual event and auction for Saturday, September 22. It will be at the same location where we have gathered the last several years. Please go online now for more information or to order your tables or tickets.
- We encourage you to purchase your tickets and tables now because it helps us plan the event and to make decisions on the auction package of firearms
- If you would like to be a sponsor, please contact me at johnharris AT tennesseefirearms.com for more information
- If you would like to be a vendor at the event, please make that decision soon.
- If you are able to be a ticket promoter, please contact us about that opportunity
- If you are interested in volunteering to work as part of the event committee or at the event, we will need perhaps 20-30 volunteers - let us know soon.

Joining and supporting TFA is an investment in the
fight to restore our constitutional rights and to fight against politicians who
are willing to sell their votes and your rights to whichever business interest
gives them the most money!
