2nd Amendment Supporters should be involved in the Legislative Process - You can participate
The Tennessee Firearms Association is dedicated to advancing
true Constitutional 2nd Amendment adherence in Tennessee. In order to accomplish that mission, we are
encouraging our members and all 2nd Amendment Supporters to make plans to be present in the halls of Legislative
Plaza, to meet personally with their elected officials in their Nashville offices,
and to reach out to those Committee and Subcommittee Members in the Senate and the House who
directly affect the process of the bills we support.
Even if you have never gone to the Legislature to speak on a matter that is important to you, TFA is offering to help provide you with direction, support or even guidance in how to be directly involved in the battle to protect and reclaim our rights.
To that end, our Field Director, Jeff Hartline, has been reaching out to TFA members and other to be a part of TFA's “Sentinel” program. Under the Sentinel program, TFA is encouraging its members and other 2nd Amendment supporters to show the Legislators in Nashville that the citizens care and that we care enough to bring our voices to Nashville. We need to let them know that we care enough to come meet with them and to watch what is happening in these subcommittees and committees. Even if you think you could only come once during the session or if you would like to volunteer for one or two days a week for the entire session, we want to get you involved and to get the movement organized. TFA would
like have TFA members and 2nd Amendment supporters in the Legislative Plaza every Tuesday and Wednesday during
session. Jeff Hartline is overseeing this project and will help coordinate the effort. If you have not already reached out to Jeff to inform him of your
interest in supporting this program, please email him at jeffhartlinetfa@gmail.com and let
him know what day(s) you are able to be present in Nashville.
You may live close by and be able to participate multiple
days. If you live further away, plan to
bring a team of TFA and 2nd Amendment supporters one or two days during session. Jeff will have shirts
available for purchase if you do not have one. He will also have written
information regarding the bills we are supporting and opposing.
Thank you in advance for being willing to support this
effort. Yours
John Harris Executive Director Tennessee Firearms Association
PS If you want
to help us move to get rid of gun free zones, to enact constitutional
carry, and to push back against an unwilling legislative leadership and an
uncooperative administration, please consider this request to join, renew and support
the Tennessee Firearms Association. Asking for your member support of TFA is a
call to action both financially and, more importantly, a call to
affirmative action of individual engagement in a real battle for the
restoration of our rights.
