Subject: Terry Allen is Retiring From Terry's Tips

Dear Friend ,

At 82, it is time to pull the plug on the responsibilities of running my little newsletter business. I am giving Terry’s Tips to a company that should triple its size in a few short months. After 20 years, I have really run out of new things to say, and that is fine. I still love playing with options every day, I am crazy about my wife, I have a bunch of irreplaceable friends, and a perfect place to live when we aren’t travelling.

I have enough money in the bank so I don’t have to fear that our children will have to take care of me in my final years (as I did for both my parents while they lived separately after their divorce). I have so much to be thankful for. And I would be absolutely happy if QQQ could go up a bit next week, or at least settle down for a while. Then everything would be perfect. Clearly, I’m still an options nut, and I will probably always be as long as my mind is functioning a little.

This announcement is being sent from a little village in Mexico where we are hanging out for almost a month and writing a book about our travel adventures (and mis-adventures) which took us to more than 20 European trails over the past two decades. Yes, life is indeed good, and like options, has an expiration date, but you don’t know when it is coming, so it is important to savor every minute (and cherish those around you).

Best wishes for a healthy and prosperous New Year.

Terry
