If you're not familiar with the term evergreen content, just think
about an evergreen tree. An evergreen tree stays green, keeping
its leaves year round.

In content marketing, it is wise to produce content with the same
characteristic. This is because that content will still be relevant
long after it's published. Essentially, there is no date of expiration
on evergreen content.

When we write tips, review products, create/shoot instructional
video tutorials or make lists, we are producing evergreen
content.

Conversely, when we write about current events, examine
statistics or write about trends, we are not producing evergreen
content. These topics will eventually become obsolete.

To get the best bang for your buck, optimize your evergreen
content with keywords people are searching for because if
no one is looking for it, it might as well not exist.
