Hi there…

Have you been watching the NBA playoffs?

It’s always an exciting time in basketball

Watching the players, the plays

And the unexpected twists and turns

That get everybody talking

and waiting for the next game

There’s SO much ACTION on the court!

Who will win it?


And I'm sure if you aren't in the US

You have a sport of your own with the

same kind of fire and excitement...Right?? 
 

But as exciting as it is, basketball IS a spectator sport

The fans sit in the stadium

They cheer

They boo

They send electricity into the air

They wave flags and banners

They use every kind of distractor

To cause the opposing players miss their free throws

But they are not on the court

They are spectators!

 

I was thinking about that after the game

With Golden Gate and OKC a few nights ago

We are marketers

And marketing is NOT a spectator sport…

You can’t sit on the sidelines

You can’t feel excitement without

  having taken some ACTION of your own

You have to develop your skills

You have to brand yourself

You have to build and nurture relationships

To have to provide value

To have to serve

YOU have to BE ON the court!!

Are you?

I want you to succeed

I want you to be a player, not a spectator

I want you to hold that ball

And take those shots…

And win…
