How's your summer going?
Over on my side, it is hot!!!
We're actually in the midst of a heat
wave.
And as much as I love the summer, I
dislike the high heat.
Too uncomfortable!
Anyway, today I want to share with you
a truism of success.
That means something that is part of
success even though we may not like it or
want to do it...
When we see celebrities, sports figures or
other notable people on TV or in magazines,
we naturally say we wish we could be
where they are...
They're successful...
They're receiving accolades...
People admire and respect them...
All because they have made it,
they're successful!
But the reality is that we're only seeing
5% of their success story...
The other 95% is what we never see...
The behind the scenes...
What they've done day in and day out...
Sometimes even night in and night out...
It's called grinding!
And yes, grinding is a huge part of success!
In fact, the difference between high
achievers and the rest of us is that they
grind!
Grinding is the boring, uninteresting,
nowhere exciting tasks that we all have
to do everyday...the mundane...
If we want success!
So while some people shut their computers
down at a certain time of night...
Others are grinding!
While some awaken late morning...just
because they can...
Others have been up at the crack of dawn...
Grinding!
When some of us made our allotted 10 calls
for the day and are done...
Others have gone beyond the 10 calls
...and are still grinding!
Still doing those boring, uninteresting, nowhere
exciting tasks...
Day in and day out...
Night in and night out!
If you want to be successful, you have to
grind!
Very simply, you have to master the mundane!
