It has been a very chilly last two days here.

Isn't it supposed to be summer??

Well, there's nothing we can do about the weather
except to accept it...

So, today I posted my daily marketing tip

and be clear about as they conduct their marketing
activities.

Do you know the difference between active prospecting
and passive marketing?

Not only do some marketers NOT know the difference, 
they do only one...

Expecting results!

Two of the basics of marketing is active prospecting
and passive marketing.

Active prospecting is any one to one conversation
you have with a prospect, whether warm or cold market.

In this activity, you are looking to elicit a response from
that prospect.

Passive marketing is when you do something that an
unnamed person or group may react to.

It's directed at the masses rather than a particular
individual.

It includes blog posts, videos, status updates, ads, etc.

This marketing does not produce results right away
but when done consistently, there will be results.

You need both to be effective.  

The active prospecting allows for the birth of a
relationship and causes the prospect to want to
see more of what you do.

The passive marketing allows the prospect to
see the value that you provide to the marketplace
and draws them to your leadership. :)
