Friend,

 Why did He do it? Every year as Christians celebrate this holiday we celebrate an act of love. The act required an unselfish love that only one man could give. It also required courage, obedience, and death. Yes, death. Not any death but a brutal, painful death. So why did He do it? In John 3:16 it says  "For God so loved the world, that he gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

He did it for you and me! Today during the church service, I was reminded how important this holiday is. It marks a time not of death but of life. He is Risen. Hallelujah!
