Friend,
Happy New Year, and welcome to 2024! I hope you are as excited and optimistic about the new year as I am. I am an eternal optimist, a lifelong learner, and a believer in Jesus Christ how can I not be optimistic?
Thank you for being so supportive, I appreciate you. Some of the things that we will explore through our newsletters and other venues this year will continue to “Inspire, Inform, and Empower,” we will challenge you to grow personally, to question other ideas, and to share your thoughts with us and others.
Most people live busy lives and often don’t have (take/make) the time to delve into everything that may impact their lives. I understand how life can be overwhelming at times. People depend on others who we deem to be subject matter experts or more suited to give information to us. Sometimes (for various reasons), experts can get information wrong.
This year we will venture into some areas where the changing dynamics in our current world can complicate our lives if we don’t understand the varying implications. We may think “This doesn’t affect me,” so we don’t pay attention until it’s too late or miss an opportunity.
For the past several years (especially since Covid), I’ve struggled to put into perspective the direction that In His Season, Inc. was going. What was clear was that we needed to do more. Much of the research that I’ve done during that time proved that it’s easy to inspire people, but it is impossible to empower uninformed people.
For example, I recently watched on YouTube a video about the story of Netflix and its growth and competition with Blockbuster. Watching the video, I could see the mistake made by Blockbuster that ultimately ended in their bankruptcy (this was not obvious at the beginning of the video). Blockbuster had more resources, capital, real estate assets, etc. It was already so successful that they became comfortable and did not anticipate the rise of streaming. Streaming was a relatively new technology when Blockbuster had an early opportunity to participate in a streaming platform, but they rejected it.
The world is changing, so must we, but how? That is the question in 2024. We are at a pivotal point in our lifetime. We must determine the world we want our children and grandchildren to inherit. We will deal with many topics this year, including politics and religion.
Some Topic Examples: Immigration, Voting, White Supremacy, Woke, Etc.
These are some of the most pressing topics.

I’m looking forward to hearing from you if you have any questions. Happy New Year, and may God shower you and yours with so many blessings this year that they can’t be counted!
