Friend,

Enjoy this very special holiday! Sometimes a good holiday is just an opportunity for a day off, a time to gather with family and friends. This year, I want to impose upon you and ask you to pray and remember who we are and why we are. Never before has there been a time in our nation when prayer can and will make a difference.

In fact, prayer may be the only thing that will give us the hope we need to move forward during these difficult times. But moving forward is our challenge. God is not asking us to move backward but He is asking us to pay attention to the state of the world and, to move forward anyway. With the help of God, we can overcome any challenges that come our way.

This 4th of July remember, we are a nation born out of the desire for freedom. In the face of insurmountable odds, they pressed forward and created a nation forged in the fire of liberty and consecrated in prayer.
