The tunnel costs HK$36 billion in total and it consists of a 4.5 km dual three-lanes. This tunnel significantly shorten drivers' commute time. For example, driving to Quarry Bay from Central now only takes 5 to 10 minutes, which is 35 to 40 minutes faster than the past.
