Dear Friend,

As your Commissioner Elect I offer my sincere thanks to each of you for your effort. The cliché "I could not have done it without you" is clearly not cliché when looking at the outcome of this campaign.

My only disappointment is that vagaries of election's office procedures denied me the opportunity to publicly and personally thank each of you at Hannibal's last evening. While the result (up by 118 votes) will not be "legal" until provisional and overseas ballots are counted, the number of such ballots is very small and will not change the result.
