Subject: 5 Day Goal Challenge - Day 1

Hello [[name]],

Welcome to the 5 Day Goal Challenge. This exercise is designed to help us get 2019 right. I want 2019 to be a better year for me. What about you? I bet you do as well. We all want this year to be better, no more planning and hoping then at the end of the year, all the plans are still in “Pending”. Achieving your Goal(s) is not easy, it takes a lot of guts and willpower, which we all have. All we need to do is know how to put all our resources together efficiently, so we can achieve great things.

A Goal is something you are trying to do or accomplish. A Goal is more than saying you would do something, it also includes the means to do it. There is a saying that a dream is just a dream that exists in your head, but when you add a destination and a timeline, it becomes a plan. There are certain elements that must be in a Goal for it to work.

Your Goal must be Specific, it must be clearly defined and easy to identify. For example. I would save $10 every week.

Your goal must be Measurable. You must know when you have accomplished your Goal. For example, I will save or not save $10 and I will know when I have saved $10 when I transfer $10 from my salary to a savings account.

Your goal must be Agreed Upon or Attainable. Your goal should be acceptable by everyone whose job it is to accomplish the Goal including you. For example, to achieve my goal of saving $10 every month, I would transfer $10 from my salary to a savings account and I must accept the fact that I would have $10 less to spend when my paycheck comes in.

Your goal must be Realistic and Reasonable. It must be something that can be done. For example, if you don’t have an income, then you cannot save, you must first get an income then start saving.

Your goal must be Time-Based. There must be a timeframe for achieving your goal. It could be weekly, monthly, or yearly. For example, I would save $520 this year.

Challenge for Today
Set Goal(s) for the year, for each month, for each week and write it down.

Think about what you want to accomplish for yourself, your business, your career, your health and write it down. Your goal could be to read a book every week or save $1000 this year.

Go ahead and write your Goal(s). Once your Goal is written, you are set for tomorrow. A little sneak a peak for tomorrow. Goals take time to accomplish, and it would be helpful to know how much time it would take to accomplish it. Think about this, how much time will each Goal take to accomplish? Think about this while you get ready for tomorrow.

If you need ideas on how to write Goals, read the Blog Post.

See you tomorrow.
