Well that was fun. The stock market was for sale basically all day. It doesn't mean this long running bull is over... but today's action definitely slowed the big fella. |

TNX Daily TNX (Interest Rate On 10 Year Note ETF) Daily If you're looking for an immediate source of today's decline, look no further. Rising interest rates scare the crap out of stock markets. That's because the cost of financing ongoing business operations rises. It's kinda like the cost of your mortgage. Let's say you have a Variable Interest Rate loan... If the rate adjusts higher as these things are apt to do, your mortgage payment will rise as well. Thus, the $2250 you were paying goes to $3200 or something like that. Would that change your spending on other things? So too go companies. |
