Subject: Get ready for this long weekend with Food, Music, Markets and Weekend getaways.

I'm sure you don't want to stay stuck indoors this long weekend, so why not check out what's happening around Sydney.

Something out of town

Long weekends are the best time to take a short overnight trip out of town, and this month there's something really special going on at Blue Mountain's Scenic World.

For the first time, they're holding an after hours event where the whole Scenic World at Blue Mountains light up with lights and features to make the night one to remember. It ends this month so this upcoming long weekend is the best time to to head up there.

Tickets are $39.9 with Dine and Discover Vouchers accepted!

Things to do with the family

@sydneyfamilyshow

The Sydney Royal Easter Show might be over, but there's still the Sydney Family Show to take the kids to this long weekend.

A little smaller, but just a fun for the whole family with carnival games, shows, rides and a bunch of goody bags.

Grab the family ticket if you're going as a group of four adults and save a tidy $10.

An Australian team serving

an American diner experience

@slimsqualityburger

There's been a steady stream of burger chains opening in Sydney - many from the states coming over, and if I was entirely honest, they left a lot to desire.

So when it was brought to my attention that a home-grown Sydney burger diner recently opened in Marrickville - I just had to check it out.

Slim's Quality Burgers is serving up an American diner experience with a solid offering. A simple menu, great price points and fresh ingredients.

A Night On The Town!

The Ramadan Night Festival in Lakemba is a month long food festival celebrating the daily breaking of fast for all muslims during Ramadan.

The market starts at dusk and ends at dawn EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. OF. RAMADAN! Which means you have until 1 May 2022 to head west and enjoy the countless street stalls serving an array of different cuisines.

Watch my video below to see how lively the festival gets and all the yummy food on offer. But also avoid my mistake of driving and take public transport instead. Details here

 Address:

Holden St and Railway Parade, Lakemba
