The Significance of the Month of Muharram

The Messenger of Allah, salallaahu alayhi wa sallam, said, "The best of fasting after Ramadan is fasting Allah's month of Muharram." [Muslim]

Did you know Muharram is the first month of Islamic Hijri calendar and is one of the sacred months? The day of Aashoora'a which was worshipped by the people of the book even before Islam is within this month.

The Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam said, “For fasting the day of 'Aashoora'a, I hope that Allah will accept it as expiation for the past year.” [Muslim]

The month of Muharram will be starting soon. Please come and learn all about the blessing and worships associated with this sacred month so you can get the best of rewards from Allah SWT.

Fundamentals of Qur'anic Arabic

The aim of this course is to equip students with the basic building blocks that are required to embark on the journey of understanding Quran.

This course will undertake a through study of Ism (Noun), fragments (combination of two of more words) and Fi'l (verb) in Arabic.

At the end of the course, students will be able to implement the concepts learnt and decipher the select ayahs in the Quran.
