If you suspect you're addicted, start with a deep self-assessment
Rate how much you can relate to the list below:
Emotional damage: daily fear, anger, sadness, shame, guilt, paranoia, loss of desire, boredom, emotional instability, self-loathing (self-hatred), loneliness, isolation, living with a sense of worthlessness Social effect: a rift in relationships, decreased ability or interest in forming meaningful connections with others Physical and health effects: poor general health–the decreased pleasure of sex or sexual dysfunction; lack of sleep Work and productivity damage: productivity declines in all areas of life, missing important deadlines and failing to fulfill obligations Loss of time: Sacrificing time spent in meaningful and rewarding activities to engage in addictive behaviors. Loss of personal integrity: ignoring your strong sense of morality, sense of responsibility to the family, the community, the employer, and the whole society and altering what is right or wrong A life without meaning and purpose because of addiction: the feeling of having failed Allah by not fulfilling a higher purpose, losing the meaning and purpose of life.
Save this for later and keep assessing yourself to stay responsible.
