In April 2020, when I was suddenly struck with a severe slipped disc, I was pinned to the ground for hours, then wheelchair bound for months. Unable to stand without assistance, the pain was excruciating, and I felt intense frustration and despair.

The unrelenting physical and mental pain consumed me and I wanted to give up. But then, a blank notebook on my bedside table sparked the idea to write about my experience. As I recorded my innermost thoughts and fears, little by little, I began to see hope. I found the strength within to turn things around and I want to share the lessons I learned with others who are struggling with personal difficulties, in the hope it may help them get unstuck and rediscover some beauty behind that bitter pain.
