Nasreen Hanifi is a qualified and trained Psychologist who currently runs her own private practice. She's the President of Mission of Hope and the Director of Clinical Operations for Hayat House which is a drug and alcohol service.
She has worked in various fields over the years, from the Government sector to Not-For-Profit to the corporate sector. She has worked as an Organisational Psychologist for an organisation in Melbourne before moving back to Sydney and working in the disability sector as a Consultant Psychologist. She has also worked as the Senior Clinician and Manager of the Community Counselling team in the Drug Health Services team in South Western Sydney Local Health District before moving into private practice where she runs her services. She is extremely passionate about the drug and alcohol sector and has completed her Masters with her thesis focus on the drug and alcohol area of practice. She is currently working with South Western Sydney Health District as a Consultant on their new drug and alcohol initiative and is an Approved Counsellor with Victim Services NSW.
She is also working on her PhD which focuses on compassion and theology from a neuroscience perspective. Presently, she is the Director of Clinical Services for My Ability Care and is a Board-Approved Clinical Supervisor for new Psychology graduates and HDR students.
