NEW AT THE SCHOOL OF STRENGTH | MARCH 7, 2019 |
| Ladies and Gentlemen,
What are you training for? |
| “If you don’t know where you’re going, any road will get you there.” Training is no different. Without a specific goal, your training time could easily become a collection of random acts. The StrongFirst Tactical Strength Challenge—happening on May 4th—is a goal worthy of your efforts. Whether you are a first-timer or seasoned veteran, you can compete against yourself or in a friendly match against others, in one, two or all three events, across four divisions per gender: Novice, Classic, Pre-comp, and Masters. Click here to see which division you'd like to compete in. |

We've made a few important adjustments to the TSC starting this year. The most notable, and something many will celebrate, is replacing the maximum repetition weighted pull-ups with bodyweight pull-ups. This should make this event more accessible to a wider group of competitors. Note that both novice women's divisions (competing in either the 12kg or 16kg kettlebell snatch group) may still test their flexed-arm hang instead of pull-ups. With 85 facilities across the globe already signed up to host, competitors have many options to participate. Remember: March 22 is the registration deadline to get your free t-shirt.
Power to you.

| | | ARTICLE Reload vs Plan Strong—What is the Difference?by Pavel Tsatsouline and Fabio Zonin Earlier this year, we launched “Reload: Your Barbell Strength Blueprint,” a concise e-book featuring individually-tailored, nearly-foolproof strength programming. Some of our readers asked the question that became the title of this article. Let us start by clearly stating which training philosophy each represents: Reload—American powerlifting cycling 2.0; Plan Strong™—Soviet weightlifting methodology. Click to READ more. |
