| NEW AT THE SCHOOL OF STRENGTH | JANUARY 17, 2019 |
| 2019 Goals? Consider Simple…or Sinister.
Ladies and Gentlemen,
In his book Kettlebell Simple & Sinister, Pavel created a two-tiered, no-nonsense strength challenge. The tiers differ by the weights used to execute the following skills to exacting standards:
- 100 one-hand swings in five minutes—ten swings to chest-level every 30 seconds, switching hands each set;
- 1 minute of rest;
- 10 get-ups in ten minutes—one repetition per minute, changing sides each repetition.
Besides the thrill of a new challenge—for you or your students—Simple & Sinister training prepares you for almost anything life throws at you, from carrying a piano upstairs to holding your own in a street fight, and anything in between. You’ll get stronger, have more stamina, and move better—the perfect foundation for any serious athlete’s sport-specific training and recreational athlete’s enjoyment. Maybe best of all, the training is so simple, efficient, and effective that it defies excuses. It delivers fitness while leaving plenty of time and energy for you to do your duty, job, sport, and have a life. The Simple standard, achievable by most, acknowledges a respectable strength practice. The Sinister standard is a testament of discipline, patience, and persistence. It is proof that trusting strength principles delivers impressive results.
