Following its original beta-test and subsequent 2019 curriculum update, we are looking forward to rolling out an enhanced All-TC student experience in 2020. An important part of the renowned and valued StrongFirst experience—consistent with our other special events, certifications, and courses—comes from in-depth student reference manuals that ramp up their learning and facilitate putting principles and concepts into practice long after events close. The current edition of the All-TC manual, while much improved over the first, is ready for the right editor to review and enhance, ensuring that StrongFirst’s voice rings across the material, amplifies the value of attending this event, continues our reputation as the gold standard in strength education, and ensures our materials go out error-free with top-notch quality control.
While this All-TC manual editing is outside of our regular annual curriculum reviews and updates, the right candidate could, if interested, be invited to assume the role of Manual Editor, working closely with the DOE to enhance all of our manuals.
Due to the importance of this role, the potential scope of materials to be reviewed, and access to intellectual property, we begin our search within Leadership. In addition to having a deep StrongFirst curriculum experience, we would expect the ideal candidate to have attended Strong Endurance™ and Plan Strong™. Excellent English writing skills, experience as an editor or proofreader, and strong attention to detail are also required. Finally, because our manual authors work primarily in Word—and mostly Word for Mac—advanced software skills would be extremely beneficial.
