“Be a good ancestor” is one of the concepts that struck a deep chord from the book Legacy and I covered it at our Leadership meeting this year in Italy. I am honored every day to work with you as part of our StrongFirst leadership—the heritage we are building drives me forward.
Over 16 years of teaching with Pavel, this community has been an integral part of my career and life as we pursue, promote, and practice strength. Every day we see how our shared belief in strength having a greater purpose positively impacts our students’ lives in ways that go far beyond the gym floor. Our mission fuels us forward while our Code guides our actions with quiet professionalism, always exemplifying that we ourselves are students of strength. Pavel is intent on leaving an enduring mark on the world with our mission. It is an honor to be part of it.
Hopefully you had the chance to take advantage of the unified recertification process or recertify at a special event like Plan Strong™ or Strong Endurance™ this year. And congratulations to all those earning the new StrongFirst Elite designation, our highest instructor rank outside of leadership. Through our content marketing, the StrongFirst forum, and the opening of new markets we continue to expand our reach and promote our School of Strength. Accredited Gyms, Essential Kettlebell Exercises Online, and the Curriculum Advisory Board are just a few of the initiatives that propelled us forward in 2018.
Looking ahead at 2019, we are primed to capitalize on our momentum to share our strength principles across all modalities with more people so they too can live the benefits. With our commitment to delivering outstanding content, supported by a growing social media presence, we will continue to build more awareness of who we are, what we do, and why it matters. This will provide increasing opportunities for our instructors, gyms, and events worldwide. And with several new books near completion, an expanded online offering, a continually improving website interface, updated curriculums, and new merchandise in the works, 2019 promises to be an exciting year as we continue to build our heritage.

As members of our leadership you are our "boots on the ground." As the local face of StrongFirst we appreciate everything you do to be such great representatives of our Code and our school. Your unwavering commitment to pursue, practice, and promote strength because we believe strength has a greater purpose is critical to our success. We thank you for your hard work and dedication.
