In the early 2000s Rob Lawrence, a senior instructor at my kettlebell school, founded what had to be the nation’s first kettlebell club. "We train with kettlebells in case civilization is temporary," was its motto, "…don't rely on anything you can't carry."
Later Rob graciously allowed my company to take this line over as a trademark and tag line.
