Hello friends!!
I hope you're keeping well?
If you're anything like me, you're on the final push towards Christmas in your teaching... Whether you're teaching online or in person, you may notice your students starting to go Christmas Crazy! ;)
When my students head down the wild path, I choose to refocus them with something fresh, new and motivating.
Laugh and Cheer has been a game changer with my students this year!
Some of my little students have only just started learning the violin, so they only focused on playing the chorus. My other beginner students wanted the challenge of learning the verses too! If truth be told, ALL of my little ones, literally haven't stopped singing/humming this song!
In fact, there's so much you can do with this one...
Sing! The lyrics are Christmassy and cheesy!
Move! Put paper plates on the floor and pretend to skate around! Careful! ;)
Shake sleigh bells to the beat.
Pizzicato/ Arco - the violin parts sound lovely either way!
Open Strings/Melody - a part ready for any beginner! Play both parts together as a duet!
Try the rhythms clapping and then on open strings.
Play with audio backing tracks or with the piano score!
And best of all... I made the cutest visuals! If you've never seen a picture of Stringosaurus ice-skating, then this is a must! Yayyyyy
Thank you for sharing the Stringosaurus journey with me this year! Keep in touch... you can always hit reply, I love hearing from you!!
Love
Laura
P.S. Give me a shout if you're interested in trying out my online resources library. It's called The Stringosaurus Treasure Trove for a reason... ;) More to come soon!!
