Hey Friend,

Have you ever created something new and felt trepidation at the thought of having to show it to people?

This is me, every. single. month.

Every month, I make a new teaching resource to share with my subscribers in my Stringosaurus Hub.

This could be anything from a play-along video, storybook eBook to even an entire Treasury of Violin and Viola Games.

For some reason, last April, I had never felt so nervous. I think it was because my teaching colleagues from around the world (and a huge amount of teachers I had never even met) were so excited and receptive to the idea of an eBook of games.

I put a ton of pressure on myself to try and live up to what I imagined to be their standards.

I barely slept, wondering whether it would be good enough. I felt sick. But I also felt excited.

I have been jotting down games for many years and had already created around 8 years ago, The Stringosaurus Games Manual as a Word document.

That games manual has stayed with me because I couldn't overcome my fear of sharing it.

Roll on a good 8 years and I still feel nervous and shy, but have launched this Treasury of Violin and Viola Games eBook anyway with the moral support (and artistic and critical eye) of Eva, my 9 year old daughter.

I felt it was important for her to share this journey and to see this mammoth project all the way through to the end successfully. 

We have had many pitfalls along the way! Turning this into an actual eBook was complex because the book is huge (be patient as it downloads), it will be worth the wait!

There was one point where my epub format didn't send me to the correct links in the book and I was in tears!! ;) Ha ha ha 

Why am I sharing this with you all? Because I reckon I'm not the only one who has these strong feelings.

Maybe, you get them from performing and sharing your music, maybe you also feel nervous sharing your teaching ideas. Maybe, like me, you're perfectionist to an unhealthy level.
