Hello Friend,
Have you ever found that your violin and viola students' instruments start out well balanced and aligned and as they hold them, your students become more and more tired as pesky tension sneaks in?!
We need to encourage our students to create an awareness of their bodies right from the start, so that they notice whether they are in alignment.
There are already so many creative ideas for posture and instrument alignment in my Teaching Resources Hub as well as in my newly launched eBook of violin and viola games, but that's not all...
Allow me to introduce our newest resource coming into the Hub in June:
Line up your violin/viola interactive instrument alignment song and video...
Now I have tried and tested this cute video on my own students and they LOVE it. It has such a gentle, lilting quality which means that they feel calm and relaxed. It is also not over stimulating. There is enough happening with cross body pointing with the right hand for students to feel thoroughly absorbed in the process of body awareness and correct instrument alignment.
The children absolutely adore the monkey in the video holding their Stringosaurus instruments! It is just so sweet. Do you want to see a clip?
The fabulous string composer, Justino Pérez commented...
"Wow, what an excellent resource, putting the student's experience first, wow what a concept."
Make sure you are one of my Teachosauri (aka subscribers)!!
I work closely with my amazing community of teachers and always design my next resource around their needs. I want as many children as possible to benefit from these resources so I can't wait to have you join us!
PS. Here are the current prices to join the Hub. They are unbelievable value right now!!
