Sharing my favourite pre-bowing rhyme with you all!

Hello friends,

Happy March 1st everyone! Happy Pancake Day and Happy St. David's Day to all my Welsh family and friends!

At the start of each month I launch a brand new, exciting resource into the Early Childhood Resources Hub...

A few months ago, I was teaching a small group of 5 year old beginners and I was feeling exhausted. I felt like I was like having an out-of-body experience, I was on automatic pilot, I could hear myself teaching and suddenly, my mind went blank! What were we going to do next? Everything felt disjointed and I had lost my flow.

The kids seem to sense that I wasn't on form and I really had to think hard and fast to get the lesson back on track.

Have you ever experienced this? I wouldn't wish that stress on anyone! ;)

This experience motivated me to create my set of 10 thorough, structured and scaffolded, FUN beginner lesson plans! They are called plans, but they are intended to be used as guides, with flexibility, spontaneity and creativity, following the needs of your students... it's why I have also created downloadable Word files so you can write in your own notes and can adjust as you wish.

Now, if I have that experience again, I'll be ready to revert back to the outline of the lesson plan so I can keep a routine, feeling of safety and flow in my teaching.

I really hope that all these lesson plans and the new activities and games they contain, bring joy, laughter and creativity to each and everyone of you!

Today, just because you're on my email list, I'm sharing with you one quick activity from the plans that will hugely benefit your students' pre-bowing skills! It's a rhyme called, There's a Dino in my Kitchen! It is so simple yet effective, my hub members love it, so I'm sure you will do too!

Let me know if it's useful??

Please stay safe and take care.

Warmest regards,

Laura :)
