Some of you may have seen on Facebook and Instagram that I am gifting you this sparkly little composition for beginner violins.

I've been full up with a cold and rather than let it get me down, I've used my time to go back over this previous composition and neaten it up. My hope is that this will help make your day sparkle and that it will bring a smile to your face.

Jewellery Box reminds me of something a little Christmassy! It's not too early to start thinking about Christmas yet, is it?!

Why you should never leave a project open...

So a quick story for you... I turned my back literally for 5 minutes, leaving my backing track file open on Logic, and came back to find my husband having the time of his life, pressing buttons and changing settings. He looked so proud of himself... "Listen to this Laura, doesn't it sound hilarious?!'

You guys can be the judge of that as I'll include it as 'The Broken Jewellery Box', the title gives you a clue! ;)

I originally wrote this piece about 6 years ago for a little student of mine called Martha, back when I was teaching in the U.K... her mum has kept the scrap of manuscript paper I scribbled it on... You never know, one day it might be worth something when I'm rich and famous, ha ha ha 😜 But Martha's mum has warned me, it's been scribbled on. I wonder if the scribble will make it more valuable?! 😂
